Prince

It's sad to hear of another pop music icon of my youth has left us way too early. To say that Prince was huge in the 1980's was an understatement. His musical style was ever evolving and growing. Like another icon David Bowie, you never knew what was coming next from him.

The only album I ever bought of his was "1999". Which had the memorable title track of the same name, "Delirious" and "Little Red Corvette". My favorite song, "Let's go Crazy" came from his mega-hit soundtrack album to his movie "Purple Rain". That is among my top kick ass rock tunes of all time. He channeled his inner Jimi Hendrix for guitar blazing crescendo at the end of the song. It was an air-guitar favorite of mine. I didn't always like his music but I always had a respect for his work and creativity. It was always honest and from his soul.

My best wishes to his family, friends and those he worked with in this sudden loss.
